Introducing Throwback Thread Thursdays: Remember Your Favorite Old Jerseys/Kits

With few exceptions, sports jerseys and logos tend to evolve over the lifetime of a franchise. New designs draw sometimes draw "oohs" and "ahhs", but are just as likely to cause fan revolt cough LA Chargers cough.

The first team I fell in love with were the New England Patriots. The crisp red and white jerseys, Pat the Patriot wearing the tri-corner hat and snapping the ball on the helmet... it was enough to make a 5 year-old boy swoon.

I love the current Patriots jerseys - including the color rush jersey that debuted in Week 3 this year - but the timeless nature of the old jersey will always hold a place somewhere in my heart.

Each Thursday, I'll be posting one of my favorite jerseys that doesn't make it our of the locker room anymore.
