Holy Hop Head. My CRAFT BEER ART. Part #7

Working with the HopHead brewery and Eugene (master brewer) started with the logo, and turned into a real creative collaboration. Two years ago when the first craft beer pub was opening in Moscow they made my proposal to develop a logo for the pub. The name was already invented – HopHead craft beer pub. I discovered a beer logo theme for a  few days. I wanted it to be recognizable, interesting and different from the others. As a basis of the shape I draw a beer cap with wavy edges. On the upper side the stars representing the aspiration to the perfection and on the downside ran the inscription Craft beer pub.  In the middle red ribbon and hop head in the center of logo. 

 Customers immediately liked it and I was offered to make a design of client card and images for the menu. The idea for the cards - I have decided to make it so that this card will stand out of all the cards, that customers have in their purse. I made it in Comics stile - I think that that is necessary, and this just was not one. So how appeared the character with hop helmet on his head. 

  

      

For this kind of establishments that carry an idea usually every detail is important. And special for the ceremonial moment of opening has been specially brewed double IPA Hop Head. Guess who have made label for this awesome craft beer. Here I wanted to show the mystery of hops by drawing a religious icon or engraving to show reverent attitude of Hop Head brewery to brewing. In general I like to work with Hop Head brewery course when I make some work to them I have enough freedom and enough time to embody the idea. Head brewer Eugene gives an idea, and I combine it with my vision. Sometimes he only tells me the name of future craft beer and I draw from scratch, and sometimes Eugene has his own vision of what he want to get as a result. So as you’ve understand there will be more interesting projects with Hop Head brewery that I will represent you in me future posts.
