Achievement 2 @neilito Task : Basic Security on Steem

Hello Steemians! Hope you're doing great.

Earlier today I visited my account and upon seeing that my Achievement 1 had been verified and with joy I quickly jumped onto reading about what I was required to write for the second achievement.
After reading through I had a bit difficulty in understanding everything so I called @nattybongo to help clarify few points that had me confused and in about 20 mins we were done.

After reading through I managed to get access to all my keys by clicking on wallet.A new tab opened and I was redirected to the steem wallet and I clicked on Keys and Permission tab to access my Keys.

ACCOUNT KEYS

I took time to study about the Keys; their functions and limitation.

Master Key
The master Key as it names clearly states is the grand Key in that it allows you to gain access to the other keys and can also be used during account recovery.
The risk of losing your Master key or it falling in the wrong hands puts you at the disadvantage of losing your account and its tokens.

Personally I wrote my master key down on an sheet and also saved it onto my computer in a pdf format and made a backup file on my External hard drive as well.

Owner Key
The Owner Key being the most dynamic key can be used to change other keys in the account

Active Key
The Active Key is also the only key that grants you access to Power up or Power down transactions,Steem Dollar conventions, Witness Voting , Profile editing and Market order placement.

The Posting Key
The Posting key is the key the should be used frequently in normal logins because it grants users the permission to Post,comment, edit vote resteem as well as to follow other accounts.

The Memo Key
The Memo Key is the key required during a fund transfer which is used to encrypt or decrypt a memo.The pound or # sign must be placed before a memo during encryption.

STEEM TOKEN TRANSFER

To Transfer Steem token to other users you will first need to access your wallet.

Under the Balances tab you click on the arrow close to STEEM and then click on Transfer.

An dialog box appears where you input the username of the recipient, the amount and the memo.After pressing on next you will be required to enter your Owner Key,Private or Master Key before transaction can be completed.

STEEM POWER UP

To Power up your steem, You must also access your wallet and also under the Balances tab you press on the arrow near ''STEEM'' and click on Power Up .

After inputing the amount of Steem you desire to use for powering up you click on ''Power up' and use your active key to complete the whole process
