SUN-DRENCHED .... my Home In Himalayan Foothills (Painting #8 by Neha Bisht / Journal "Yesterday Once More")

in #painting7 years ago (edited)

As I wrote earlier, I have a holiday home in a quaint little town located in the Himalayan Foothills. My Bungalow is surrounded by an oak forest.

Bread & Butter keeps us in the city mostly. However, on vacations or weekends we do go there.

It was May 2013. We had a summer break and I ran to my home.

In the evenings, walking through the gorges, chasing anything on four legs, rolling on green grass, recklessly running after birds and butterflies. walking along with men holding yummy looking bags, is absolutely necessary for my four canine babies, Tippy, Coco, Bella & Wally

On one such walk, Coco disappeared into an oak grove. We went all over, looking for him and found him rolling in this beautiful green forest patch, full of sunlight.

The sunlight streaming through the trees looked so beautiful, that it stuck to my mind.
I had to paint it. And finally in October 2014, I captured the memory in my brush.

With trees and oak leaves
Creating dark shadows
And bright paths of light."

thank you :)

Did you study painting at some university?

No ... I am self taught. I very much wanted to study art but I never got the opportunity.
I learned art by admiring and studying the work of old Masters. Specially artists of the Soviet Art Heritage and European art Heritage. :-) .. I follow art :-). My passion & salvation & expression. 😊 . Do you like it ? You are creative . I know that .
