THE JOY OF PETS
There are many touted medical benefits of having pets but I want to approach this with a personal viewpoint.
We got this dude Bogey 11 years ago.
It has been amazing to see him grow into this fur ball of love. He can understand most ongoings in the house. Somehow he knows when pizza is ordered on the computer. Possibly he can read the clock. If you are a minute late for his walk, he will let you know. He does have his faults. He never made me coffee or cooked dinner or did any chores. Despite his faults, he is a family member who holds a special place in my heart.
His love has been unconditional and he forgives very quickly. Form11 years he has protected me from the postman. He has kept the birds out of the yard although he came close, he has not caught a single one yet.
When I wake up and go to the kitchen for morning coffee, no matter how tired he is, he will drag himself to the kitchen and give me a few licks and then go back to bed. When I come home from work, every single day he has greeted me with the same unwavering passion.
If I could only find a few humans with such qualities.
