Hi everyone,

My name is Aldin and I am new here at Steemit.

I found Steemit through a friend of mine (he is here on Steemit as @worldclassplayer). It took me a couple of weeks till I pushed myself to create an account here. I am super glad I did!

Background

I moved to Austria (no, we don't have Kangaroos :P) with my family as a refugee due to war conditions in our country back in 1991. I have witnessed how it was for my parents to build up everything from scratch in a foreign country where you don't know anyone, any place and not even the language to get around. Having to flip every coin trice before buying something besides cheapest basic survival things like food and shelter has definitely coined a lot of my awareness and questions I'd ask later in life when it comes to money, it's distribution and the human condition in this world.

I dedicate this life to create or at least support in the creation of a better world, and this includes major improvements in the way money is distributed amongst everyone. I see one point very clearly: Suffering and the lack and denial to give basic resources to everyone to live a dignified life is not necessary on this planet. Who makes the rules but us? Either by our direct or indirect contribution of our voices, choices and how we live.

Why Steemit?

Where I see the value of Steemit is based firstly in the concept of blockchain (it's said to be the next biggest thing after the invention of the Internet) and secondly that by sheer participation and contribution on the platform you are given equally to everyone based on the same level of contribution. It's like a first step to a perfect community where Togetherness and Equality are fundamental principles we thrive from in everything else we create.

My passions

I am passionate about a lot of things in life. I love trying and discovering new things in life. You can say endless learning is one of my bigger passions :)

Professionally I work in the IT field, am a Software Developer in my free time, enthusiastic 3D designer and I recently discovered a passion for 3D printing (as you have seen before in this post with the Steemit pendant for 3D printing) and generally a LOVE for 'making stuff'.

I especially have an interest in self-development and helping others find ways to deal with their struggles, emotional burdens and challenges in life - be it family, work and career, friends, hobbies, etc. After all that's how I'd like another to approach and help me with if I were in their shoes.

Daily I look for words that I can reflect upon, investigate, redefine and live in a practical way to support me to grow as an individual and become a better Me daily.

That's it from me, a swift intro and peek into me and my life.
