How do I remove outside influences from my mind?

Do you know a very terrible fact - I do not know! The question you asked is one of the most complicated questions in the world! Yes, indeed! I was probably trying to partially answer this in response to another question. This question is not easy to answer. Only a few possible ways can be mentioned. I don't know if they will work at all, or if they work for one but not for another.

For example, as I am writing the answer to your question, I know that there is no monetary gain for me. Still I write. Because the effect of writing on my mind has overcome me. I could not cut the impact of the writing. I have promised myself for some time that I will not do any work without financial benefits. I still can't. Therefore, it is very difficult to remove the external influence on the mind. However I am just sharing some ways. These may be useful for you.

1. Minimize the amount of alone time you spend alone. People are more defeated when they are alone. So don't be alone unless absolutely necessary.

2. Be unkind to yourself sometimes. It means that you have to strangle your three desires. For example, you have a strong addiction to a harmful food. Whenever this addiction arises, it must be strangled.

3. Sources that lead you to negative influences you should go less, i.e. stop going slowly. And if you can, then you should do it in one day.

4. If you keep yourself busy, external things cannot affect you. One way to do this is to seek more happiness in the welfare of others. Then the external influence of the mind diminishes.

5. When external influences begin to overwhelm the mind, immediately share it with a confidant or loved one. It is the tendency to hide bad influences that harms us the most.
