Botanical Garden in India

In the 18th Century British made Calcutta Botanical Garden in Calcutta. Although it was called Botanical Garden, it was mainly used to cultivate tea, coffee, palm trees and chocolate.

There was such a garden in Mauritius and Spain int the then French era. Therefore there were botanical gardens though they were mainly land for cultivation.
