Introducing Myself Through Music

Hello Steemians! I can’t believe that it’s been almost a year since I first created my account, and finally today I decided to post something. I’m not going to lie, I was a bit intimidated, and had no idea how any of this works! But oh well hopefully, just like you, my fellow, intelligent steemians, I’ll learn someday.

I believe that we are channels of energy, and we inspire each other through whatever it is that we do on a daily basis. Everyone has something to share, and sometimes what we think is our weakness, becomes our strenght to others. I very much disliked playing piano in front of others. I am a perfectionist so making no mistake was my top priority. Until one day I realized that I was being too egoistic by thinking so much about myself and the quality of my performance. Then I started thinking about others, and how through my playing, I could perhaps inspire someone out there who needed at the moment, rather than a word, the soothing sound of music.

You see? Music has the ability to heal us, to inspire us, to connect us, it goes beyond our capacity to understand it. So I started playing with more passion, thinking about the feelings of others and connecting to their stories, we all have our stories to tell... So it's not about me anymore, it's about this channel that I was given so that hopefully it can serve others.

So allow me to me inspire YOU in this my very first post (out of who knows how many), with one of my favorite pieces that I’m sure many of you already know, from the movie Forest Gump by Allan Silvestri called Feather Theme.. let me know your thoughts, your stories, and I hope that through music, we connect.
