Demi menghasilkan visual memikat, film horor Jailangkung berani mengeluarkan biaya mencapai Rp10 miliar. Jailangkung (2017) pun disebut-sebut sebagai film horor Indonesia termahal yang pernah dibuat.

Mereka berusaha kembali menampilkan kengerian yang telah tersaji di film pertamanya.Untuk segi cerita sendiri dua sutradara Jose Purnomo dan Rizal Mantovani menuturkan jika film Jailangkung ini benar-benar berbeda dan memberikan nuansa baru di tengah genre horor yang belakangan sedang naik daun. 

 Selain jalan cerita, hal yang paling membedakan antara film Jailangkung terbaru dengan Jelangkung (2001) adalah soal biaya. Jose Purnomo selaku sutardara mengaku jika Jailangkung merupakan fim termahal yang pernah ia tangani. “Bisa dibilang ini film horor termahal yang pernah saya buat. Kalau ditaksir mungkin buat film ini senilai dengan kita buat 2-3 film lainnya,” ungkap Jose Poernomo seperti dilansir Liputan6.

Meski tak menyebut secara pasti, namun biaya produksi film Jailangkung mencapai Rp10 miliar. Film Jailangkung pun disebut-sebut sebagai film horor Indonesia termahal yang dibuat.
