Hopefully, a super simple post to clear up a couple of common community questions for you beautiful Natural Medicine folk!
When I post in the Natural Medicine community, I can't see it in my blog. Why?
Your blog is like your house, and your community is like the local mall where you hang out with your mates.
If you post to the community, all you need to do is go to ALL POSTS on Steempeak and click ADD POST TO BLOG or POSTS on Steemit and resteem to your own blog.
It's merely part of the general house keeping of Steem. We will get used it it.
Soon, we expect there will be an option to post to your community AND your blog at same time.
Why do you want me to post on www.naturalmedicine.io? Can't I just post in the community?
We hope our niche wellness front end might draw users to Steem in general. The more we are seen in Google via SEO, the more likely we are to onboard people.
We also have a cool bot which tells us when you post on the front end, so we can get to your posts faster for more support.
We don't mind much though. Feel free to just post to the community instead.
We DO want you to post from www.naturalmedicine.io though for the contests. This is because it makes it easier for @riverflows to keep track!
Will you upvote and curate me if I just use the tag #naturalmedicine?
Yes! We know that it's hard to keep up with communities and know it's tricky to remember hive numbers. It's also confusing for new users. We will always check the #naturalmedicine tag for good posts so don't worry.
We think its a bit mean if people try to coerce you to post to their community. It is your choice... don't feel pressured!
What are the benefits for posting in Natural Medicine?
It's a way for us to connect and engage with like minded people.
It also helps grow our presence on Steem. And the more we grow, the more you grow, and vice verse.

Clear & helpful... there are lots of times people can't post to mnio or the community page (eg when using @dtube or @threespeak) so continuing to curate the tag makes sense. I came to that conclusion too, last night. 😊
I think the community thing can get a little out of hand with communities begging to post JUST in their community - I kinda like the tag system just as much, and just putting in a community when it's appropriate and possible. :)
I totally agree with that. I also think the tags are important for SEO OUTSIDE of steem.

Just a quick question, do you know if posting via NMio will display in our main blog, or does it become like posting to a community, where we'll need to resteem it?

I think I have the answer. All my posts done through NMio have disappeared from my main feed. :( @riverflows

The community tag is immediately put on first.
I do it like housekeeping. Post, click 'add to blog' from Steempeak.
