Being Optimistic

So in the ancient as learned from the Bible, God promised the Israelites that he would give them riches and a country full of fertility which the Bible makes us know was called Canaan, however in the process there was nothing like you would not face oppression or opposition, irrespective of that it was made clear they would take over the Land. Now one thing we should take not as Christians is that God always come clean on his promises.

Let’s look at how the Israelites came to take over the land and come to our lesson for today, in accordance with God’s words, 12 men were sent to go and spy the land and to come back with report of what to expect, when they came 10 men out of the 12 admitted that the land was indeed fertile but then remarked that there were giants occupying the land and that they would literally be impossible to overcome. What was happening here was that they were allowing the images they saw detract and distract them from the promise of the LORD, that he would hand the land over to them. The other two out of the 12 however understood that the promise of the Lord and knowing that he was with them said they should go at once and possess their possession as they would be able to conquer it. It is not that they did not see the hurdles ahead but the saw beyond it, a challenge to win.

Being optimistic does not mean we do not see the difficulties in situation, rather it speaks of our believe in God and his greatness and his ability to deliver on his promises. Believe in God and you would win every battle you face in this journey of life.
