Avoid Low Self Esteem

Low self esteem has caused many a great deal and still continue to cause many. People are passing up on great opportunities, opportunities of a life time that the Lord had prepared before them as they waited on the Lord for their blessing all because the couldn't bring themselves up, they couldn't imagine putting themselves out there and doing what ought to be done or face what ought to be faced.

Numbers 13:33, And there we saw the Nephilim and we seemed to ourselves like grasshoppers and so we seemed to them.

When we start to tremble before we even make a move or try to make understanding of what is ahead of us we are bound to make mistakes. Misunderstanding will lead to misapplication of concepts and things are bound to go wrong if we believe we are doing the right thing when truly we are doing the wrong thing and this is one of the by-products of low self esteem.

Important that we are able to distinguish between egoism and self esteem though, clearly egoism has to do with putting oneself in the spotlight when it comes to something that they probably know they are good at whereas self-esteem looks at one's self worth and confidence that we have in ourselves. This confidence is what keeps us going and gets us to be able to do things that needs to be done, it keeps us happy with our behaviour, abilities and character.

Proverbs 23:7, For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.

It is pertinent that we are meticulous of our thoughts and build our self esteem and confidence in life and in everything we do for it is what will keep our perspective in focus as we go through life. We have to learn to inspire ourselves and it is important we continue to forge ahead and build ourselves in diverse ways that we may be able to keep up with a good psychology at all time.

One thing that can help us as Christians too as a bonus for us is our faith and reliance on the Lord. A Strong and fervent Christian with unwavering faith is bound to have a great self esteem which is probably a gift from the Lord for putting your faith and trust in him.
