One Plaque........

This is a great story about the legend that is Bob Marley upon finally getting a 'blue plaque' on the house of the wall he lived at in England in the '70s.

Blue plaques are awarded and placed by English Heritage to honour cultural icons and are placed on buildings closely associated with the person, in this case, 42 Oakley Street in Chelsea where he lived with The Wailers whilst recording their seminal album, 'Exodus'.

The problem came in verifying the address as it seems crafty Bob had given the police the address where his backing singers were staying after being arrested for possession of cannabis in 1977 as opposed to his own address.

Lot's of checks need to be done before that nice blue plaque is stuck on the wall, imagine putting it on the wrong one!

That's a good story isn't it? It was just around the corner from where I was living in London.
