I'd Like To Introduce You To The Catchy Grooves Of Funk Fiction

in #music6 years ago

I'd like to share with you all one of my favorite music makers I've discovered in the past few years. His music stands out to me as extremely catchy and cool, and even though most of it's instrumental I still think a lot of people would like it if they heard it.

The artist is Funk Fiction, and I'd describe his music as a combination of fun/cool melodies, beats, and interesting moods. Some of the sounds he uses are electric piano, synths (with some cool bass synth parts), funky guitar samples, and some occasional vocal samples. Much of his tracks seem to be influenced by 70's pop music such as disco and funk, but even though I don't listen to those genres, I really enjoy these tracks. Alot of it might be the kind of thing you'd want to blast in the car while taking a nice drive.

Actually, a lot of what Funk Fiction does is videogame soundtracks, and some of his best work in my opinion was on the soundtracks for the games Sonic Before The Sequel, and Sonic After The Sequel. Note: all his music he made for those games is on the album Sonic BeATS. He also did some tracks for an indie game on Steam called Spark The Electric Jester. Those albums are on Spotify.

Here's some of my favorite tracks from Funk Fiction if you want to check them out. I'm going to include links to the web version of Spotify for each track for anyone who might want to check them out.

Rocks Like This – This track might be his catchiest, and maybe the best one to hear first. It's got some fun chords and a solid melody. One of my favorites by him. - From the album Sonic BeATS.

Sunset Heights – Some catchy jazzy synth chords lay a chill groove. This song has such a nice mood to it, and I like the beautiful melody in the chorus. - From The Spark The Electric Jester Soundtrack.

Titanic Tower Act 2 – A very 80's soundtrack kind of tune, this is a good mix of happiness and a slight melancholy. This track has boom-twack drums with reverb, and a good interplay between guitar and synth parts. - From the album Sonic BeATS.

Crystal Duration – This track has a great bass groove and is kind of moody but so the overall beat/feel of it is so catch even though it's not very melody oriented. - From the album Sonic BeATS.

Stellar Lights - A sort of laid back, mid-tempo song that still has plenty of beat, and a melody that will probably get stuck in your head. - From the album Sonic BeATS.

Sunfire Forest – A very happy, energetic track. - From The Spark The Electric Jester Soundtrack.
