Spring things are happening!
Our baby plum tree is making leaves! This was the first perennial food plant that we put in the area that'll be our food forest. I suspect it's a sucker off our big plum tree, though at the time I thought it was a seedling. I didn't know to check, because I didn't know what a sucker was. There's more all around that tree, and I suspect they'll become a permanent and bountiful fixture on our property.
So excited for spring. Daylight is coming earlier daily, and it makes my drive home more exciting to see new trees along the way blooming and setting buds. Yesterday I went outside and smelled the blooms from my neighbor's Bradford pear tree. It smelled like spring. I've yet to see any bees, but they'll probably be around soon!
I'll post another pic of our comfrey later, it's really surprising me how strong it is coming up. I still need a lot more comfrey... #permaculture #foodforest #spring #gardening #trees #plantmoretrees #share2steem #fruittrees #perennials
Be blessed.
Be fruitful.
Stay relevant.

Yay spring!! Its so exciting when everything begins sprouting and budding and making leaves!! :D
The world is waking up! We'll, this half is.
Oh that is a wonderful site, we are still about 6 weeks away from that. Just got another 8" of snow last night on top of 6" we got Friday morning, and that has put the skids on my spring fever, haha ;)
Woah, too much snow! We didn't even get 1/4" of snow this year, it was great! But plenty of rain, and I'm praying for a wet spring too.
Woohoo! What are your high temperatures like these days? Bees don't like to come out to play much until it's at least 55. I have that in common with them!
Right now, it's 24°! But from today it's a steady rise to 77° on Friday. What a week! You bet I'll be outside this weekend, um ready to get dirty. Gonna pick up entirely too many more strawberry seeds and put them EVERYWHERE.
Warm here, nearly 40F but this is what I woke to this morning:
How beautiful!
That's breathtaking. But not conducive to getting anything done at all lol
Yeah, tell me about it!
It was like a fairy land, like cotton ball snow. Fortunately, not trees broke here, from weight.
