Chicken integration complete!
On the list of things to get done today was to integrate the chicken enclosures. Having been made next to each other, the chickens have had a lot of time to meet each other.
Well, it's done.
I cut out four slats in one of the pallets and turned up the chicken wire. Now they're all getting to know each other and exploring their newly expanded digs. I also added leaves to the main run, so there's plenty to scratch in.
I think I'll leave the coop part for the little chickens for now, but soon it'll be taken out and they'll all sleep in the same house. Til then, the girls are getting to keep something familiar.
Lots of work getting done today on the little aspiring homestead in Texas! Of course, there's more to come, including a very good @actifit activity count!
