Daily Baby Chicken April 26
I've got a daily chicken scheduled for tomorrow already, but this deserved another post!

She hatched on Wednesday or Thursday, I don't honestly remember which. This was Turkey's second time being broody. Mama is still broody after losing her first baby Pepper, which you'll hear about in the post tomorrow.
A cute little symbol of regeneration here this week as spring becomes more and more lovable. This is my first really good look at her, and I wanted to share it. Pretty sure she's a bannie black marans, as I think that's what Roo and Turkey are. I really hope she's a good mom. 💚

Woohoo! You're back! I hope you enjoyed your social media vacation. Congratulations on your newest addition! Turkey must be so pleased with herself. I'm so glad you finally got a baby.
She seems very proud :) I've heard bannies are good moms. Hoping that's the case. I'm leaving them together to see if there's more imparted wisdom with her and the new chick than there is with the other chicks we've got.
It was a good break. I'll be making a habit of it I think.

Our 90 day olds arrive on Friday...
The other chickens? They don't seem to mind much, they just want to range lol
Melissa and Sophie are out of town today, so they haven't seen it. The boys went to check in and see her more today than I did. And I went a lot lol
