Have you ever wondered why geckos lick their eyeballs?
Wait for it... Bulls-eye!!
It's kinda weird, kinda cute, and kinda creepy.
So, WHY they do it?
These cute little guys frequently lick their eyeballs to keep them moist. Hm, kind of surprising, right?
The reason they need to do so is because they are missing something you and I have - eyelids.So, imagine, if we had no eyelids we'd have to lick our eyeballs, too!
I'm soooo glad I have eyelids =) That would grow tiring... Or, I suppose, we could just get our friends to do it for us.
IDK about you but I have a whole new appreciation for eyelids!
