Faithful to God at all times.
Christian community! Faithfulness is a theme that goes back through the whole Bible, the truth is we must be clear that we must remain faithful at all times. Being faithful in everything, God wants his children to be faithful to him. Loyalty is a necessary quality of the people of God. Loyalty is the immutable criterion of a real and sincere Christian life.
"The loss of Christian loyalty is a mortal danger to every believing soul" (Pastor P. K. Shatrov)
"Therefore, you must know that the Lord, your God, is God, the faithful God who keeps his covenant and mercy with those who love him" (Deut 7: 9).
"If we are unfaithful, He remains faithful, because He can not deny Himself" (2 Tim 2:13).
All Christians in the pages of the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, are called to show loyalty to their Lord and Savior. And, perhaps, our Lord Jesus Christ is the unsurpassable example to follow in faithfulness. He demonstrated his impeccable loyalty to Heavenly Father in everything: "I glorified you on earth, I fulfilled the work you commissioned me to perform" (Inn.17: 4).
An example of human fidelity is Abraham. When he hears God's call, he leaves his country, his home and goes to a foreign land. In addition, he is willing to sacrifice his own son, as proof of his trust in God. This is a tremendous testimony of loyalty.
Fidelity is not a one-time feat, it is not a one-time action or a momentary effort toward God. This state, this is the whole life of a Christian in all its manifestations and events, both big and small.
Loyalty does not come suddenly from nothing, it does not appear as a gift, it occurs, it starts with the smallest, sometimes, it seems insignificant. Loyalty in the small is a promise of loyalty in the big, the beginning of the path to the great blessings of God.
Infidelity in the small makes it impossible for us to receive blessings, and often that infidelity causes great defeats in the life of a Christian. A biblical example of infidelity is Moses, when instead of telling the rock to give water, he hits the rock and, therefore, incurs the wrath of God, loses the opportunity to enter the promised land (Num. : 7-12). Saul, without waiting for Samuel, offers burnt offerings. It seems that here is so special? After all, this was done for the good of the people, for victory. But this also caused anger on God's part (1 Samuel 13). These examples demonstrate infidelity in the small and show God's attitude to this: after all, He Himself remains faithful in everything.
God Himself is faithful in big and small matters. He is faithful in the smallest detail. Our Universe, with all its laws, the work of a mechanism as complex as the human body, is a confirmation of this. God is faithful in matters of purity, holiness and order. He is the God of the world and the device, and remains faithful to His essence always and in everything.
Jesus Christ showed us an example of loyalty, having achieved the great work of saving the human race. He is the conqueror of darkness, death and hell. This is the biggest event in the history of the universe, which has no equal. But as the Savior of the whole world, Christ was faithful to His vocation and in the relationships with each individual person in each specific case.
"Big success depends on loyalty in the small, you want to be big, start from the smallest." This is totally consistent with the spirit of the Gospel: "... well, good and faithful slave, in the small thing that you were faithful, I will put you over many"
(Matthew 25: 21,23)
Speaking of loyalty in the small, the Lord brought the parable of the infidel administrator. In this parable, Christ places a direct dependence on faithfulness in the great and true of fidelity in the unjust, that is, transitory. The correct attitude toward the transient, towards the unjust determines whether the spiritual is entrusted to us.
Drawing a conclusion from the above parable, Jesus clearly and definitively says: "Then, if you were not faithful in the unrighteous riches, who will believe that you are true?" (Luke 16:11) The Lord entrusts spiritual wealth and blessings to those who have shown him loyalty in material things. Our donations, our time, our health, are transitory, but our attitude and our fidelity in dedicating all this to the Lord determine our future, our true wealth.
