SOME BASICS INFORMATION ABOUT CURATION REWARDS
Here we are, I joined the community about a week ago. And It's been one week that I try to figure out how the curation rewards is working. So in order to get it I made some research on old posts to have a clear and sharp explanation, I haven't found like that but still I have compeling some good data to share with my new steemians fellow.
Before I get started I have to thanks all my sources @steemitblog, @calamus056, @dantheman, @liberosist.
It s important to understand that my "study" is only one week old so ther some points that deserve to be clarified in a close future, but I will share some good tips that I feel important to help you to maximize your upvotes.
For a good maximisation there are 3 points to keep in mind :
- Choose a good content which can be interessted for community
- Do not vote to early
- Do not vote to late
First of all, steemit is created to share content, good or bad, but content. The goal is to post something that could attract the more crowd possible with topics that are important to you. When you upvote for someone, try to figure out if the content is a potential trending topic after your vote.
Then, take care of the moment of your upvote. It is important to keep in mind that the moment of you click will be a real actionon your future curation rewards, too soon or too late and you will miss your target. The rewards works in a pretty simple way (for what I get for now) :-) :
If your upvote takes place between 0 min and 30 min : there is a deacreasing reward's rate assured for the author for 100% to 0% (0 min :100% for the author, 15min: 50 for the author/50 for the curators, 30 min : 0 for the author/100% for the curators)
From my sources reading I understant that the best timing for a trending topic is between the 15th minute et 30th minute (Indeed, It's pretty rare that an article become trending after that timing if no one votes on it before that)
In this windows of shoot, the precise timing of you upvote is also important, but there is no rules here, it's all about your guts. The more you'll wait, the more you'll potential win, but the more you'll wait, the more someone else can vote before you and make your potential earing fall deady.
That's all I get for now, but I hope it will be helpfull for some of you and I ll continue to dig the subject in order to give you more intel about it, but don't forget that the most important is to vote for topic you care about, don't do it for the potential money you could get.
P.S. : If you get some precisions or question, feel free to ask in the comments.
