What does a Viking Warrior do after defeating his foe in battle?... He takes a bride of course!
Swede Alexander Gustafsson celebrated his 5th round KO of Brazilian Glover Teixeira at UFC Stockholm over the weekend, by proposing to his girlfriend during his post-fight Octagon interview.
Fancy footwork
Gustafsson put on a virtuoso performance as he dominated Texiera for all of the fight, much to the delight of his hometown crowd.
Gustafsson used his footwork and a bolo uppercut to great effect in the fight, and after the fight had one more fancy move in him as he dropped to his knee to propose to Moa Antonia Johansson.
“Biggest enemy”
Clearly on a roll, Gustafsson did not leave it there. In his post-fight press conference he called out Jon Jones, who he declared to be his “biggest enemy” and “not a good person.” Having conquered the best of Brazil, ‘The Mauler’ has his sight set on pillaging the best North America can muster too.
On current form, I won’t bet against Gustafsson. He is more than a match for anyone in the light heavyweight division right now.

Indeed, did you notice how Dan Hardy (the interviewer) prompted him?... "I believe he has one omore thing to say..." Even if Alexander had changed his mind about doing it, it was too late to back out!
Haha yeah, he definitely took the lead on that one! Alexander might have just "forgotten" if it wasn't for Dan Hardy.
I was interested to see how this fight shook out and how Gustafsson would look. He's gotten better every fight after the Rumble setback and his control of spacing to utilize his reach advantage has become excellent. Glover is a truck, and he took an absolute beating. He's one tough dude. Gustafsson is showing that Viking Power and I loved him calling out Jones after the fight.

Wow! Just goes to show that the hardest fighters in the ring can also have the softest hearts. I mean, it almost brought a tear to my eye! No joke! Such a genuinely tender moment is an extraordinarily rare occurrence in the blood-splattered octagon of the UFC. What a place for it to happen!
And then, literally hours later to go straight back to business and demand a match with Jon Jones! This will be one weekend Gustafsson will never forget.
