"The Old Well"| October 6, 2021

A wonderful day to all steemians out there. I hope that everyone is well.
Today, I'll be sharing with you all a very old well in our place.

This well was built in 1950. Originally I was born in Mindanao then we came here last 1995.
When I came to Cebu I was 8 years old and then that well is already there. of course, the place was so different before than now. I remember that this is the basic source of water in our place. we take a bath in there, wash our clothes, and even do other necessary things that require water.

Before, the area of this well is quite big. It was in between with the coconuts. but then due to uncertain happenings, it changes a lot. In the past, we used to do many things near to the well. we used to hang our clothes it's because of its big space.
Early in the morning, all the people in our street gather together to fetch water or take a bath. So I have to wait for a long time or go early to avoid these scenarios.

At that time they use used the ball as a bucket and it was quite heavy since it's made from rubber.
and its depth is about 13 feet. So we have to be careful especially with the kids.

Until now it still serves as our main source of water. But we don't drink the water here of course. We don't take a bath nor wash our clothes here because there isn't enough space.
And of course, since it's the 21st century there are lots of changes as well. some of the neighborhood has their own sources of water like the water pump. This time there's no need for us to wait longer.

This reminds me that no matter how old a thing is if you take care then it is still the same.
