EcoTrain QOTW - If I was to be elected as a president / prime minister of my country what would be the first executive orders I will make?

in #ecotrain5 years ago

A very delightful question brought up by @eco-alex for @EcoTrain QOTW.

Well what I will write is more from the purview of my country India. I wonder sometimes that it is so easy to become a political leader without any qualifications then to get even a job of a junior most level in an average organization. It is so easy to buy a house if you are in politics, whereas a common man will need years of saving to buy one. It is so easy to live a lavish life without having to worry for money for a political leader, whereas a common man on day to day basis always struggling to meet the ends. It is so easy for a political person to do a crime and not get penalized for it, whereas a common man a small crime and may end up with a life long court case. It is so easy for a political person to take a loan and not repay without any repercussion and a common man faulty of even a meager amount of 5000 Rs. will be chased day and night. It is so easy for a political person to get admission for their children in the best of the universities, whereas the common man even after scoring highest may not end up with a seat. So where does the root problem lie in the entire system, why is that the people in politics and the rich guys have the best time of their lives and common man is always in a fix.

Coming back to the question:
India has many burning issues and almost all of them hold equal importance in its own way. Like Illiteracy, Hygiene and Sanitation, Women safety, Population, Religious Intolerance. But to the core of all of this is Corruption one of the most important evil that the country has to fight it out. There is corruption at every level and every stage burning out the lives of common people. The greed never gets over and the common people have to suffer in the form of paying more and more tax.

If I had to become a Prime Minister of my Country, My key agenda would be Fighting Corruption.
Common Man in India is paying tax on every single thing, there is tax on tax. You pay Income Tax on Salary, tax on every single commodity, GST, Service Tax and what not. You go to a restaurant and you end up paying more tax then your food bill. And we wonder where does all of this money go. Well it must be going to good use to an extent, but largely it's all getting into corruption. Corruption at every level. Millions of Rupees are spent on elections, on the benefits given to the political people. They would get a Car, fuel allowance, driver, free education for children, House to live, Utility bills are paid for. You name an expense required for a living and it is being taken care from the government resources. And where does this government resources come from; nowhere but the hard earned tax money of the people. If I had the opportunity to make any change the first and foremost change I will bring in is the Technology Enforcement at every single level.

  • Very strict laws on Corruption and a strong legal framework with fast actions.

  • Digitizing all the government activities. There should be no dependency of any government based activity on a person. Digitizing every single government activity will bring in transparency at all levels. People will not be dependent on government officials for any activity. Files will automatically pass from one end to other. Financial benefits will have auto transactions with accountability. Every activity will have a turn around time.

  • All political people bank accounts and spending should be under scrutiny. Anyone spending more than their capacity should be pulled up for inquiry.

  • A strict vigilance on corruption and anyone caught to be heavily punished to set example for others. It is easy to catch hold of the corruption if the systems are made stricter. Vigilance on extravagant spending. India is known for the lavish marriages, specially of the film stars, business tycoons and the political people. If the earning can support the expense well and good, but if not then these people need to be scrutinized.

If the Corruption is set in place a lot of other problems will automatically be taken care. There will be additional resources in the government budgets to drive other initiatives like the Hygiene and Sanitation, Housing, Education, Women safety, Pollution.

Right now there are technology systems in place but sadly they are only to monitor people and penalize them for defaults. If it would be put to better use at every level, things can get much better. Corruption and bribery will get curbed to a great extent.

As an anarchist I know that no “executive” order would work long term- all man’s laws must be enforced and that means a belief in the lie of authority- the world will change as each individual person takes responsibility for the world themselves- first by educating themaelves about The Natural Law of earth and hence how we each individually must live to be in harmony and next educating ourselves about what’s been going on while we were sleeping... the true nature of the dark occult overlords enslavement of humanity... thinking longingly about executive orders is using the same false system that doesn’t work because it’s is false. Each person is their own authority under Natural Law and it is not possible to abdicate that authority to another just cuz you don’t want it...people think they do but it only causes the chaos we are currently experiencing...

Individual responsibility is the key factor in to see the change in the world that's very true. It all starts with us and ends with us, if we keep waiting for someone else to kick it, will never happen and we will keep cribbing about matters. Thank you for sharing your thoughts @in2itiveart

and how to ignite the fire under the arses to TAKE individual responsibility...I do not know. We are all pretty well satiated with our conveniences.

Both segments of this post -- your introductory statement about Indian life as a politician vs. the common man, AND your response to QOTW are excellent.

I will now join the effort with my response to @eco-alex query!

That’s a really good on answer, and I think your main points will ring true with many countries around the world.

I agree on what you will also do @nainaztengra there must be strict implementation of laws and run after violators plus adopting blockchain for government transactions for transparency is a great idea because it will help curve corruption and red tape as well.

Technology is a boon if used in the right manner.

Corruption is a big problem and it is one of those that when fixed would fix so many others because it is actually causing those others. I like your reasoning and have to say that I really enjoyed reading this, thank you 💚

Thank you Petra. Glad you liked it 💖

I completely agree with your entire post, @nainaztengra. You will be interested to hear that the recently elected president here in Mexico is proposing exactly these kinds of measures. Well, except for digitizing the governmental actions. That he hasn't said anything about. However, he is turning the presidential palace into a museum for the public. He is selling the presidential airplane, so he'll be traveling on commercial airlines, and most shockingly of all: he is disbanding his bodyguards, because "the people will protect him". He has already made heavy cuts to the higher levels of the public sector, so ministers and members of congress will be paid much less than before, and former presidents and ministers won't be paid for the rest of their lives, as it had been the case.
While I believe this is all very impressive, I can't help but feel a bit cynical about it. After all, I have always been very suspicious of politicians of all colors. Still, I'm curious to see how things will play out. It's the first time in Mexico that someone like this got elected, but not the first time in the world. Morales in Bolivia and Ahmedinejad in Iran are two examples, and they show the different directions this could take. In the more extreme cases, things could go beautifully like with Mujica in Uruguay if, or in the worst case scenario like with Chavez in Venezuela. In any case, it'll be exciting to see.
