Hour of Code German Translation Part #1
Project Details
Hour of Code is a movement to bring new people, especially kids to computer science. It provides resources for teachers that help to host an "Hour of Code".
The Code.org foundation startet the "Hour of Code" Challenge with support of Barack Obama.
There are one hour long tutorials in various languages for all ages beginning with 4. Most tutorials use the visual programming Language Blockly to stick small code snippets together.
According to Wikipedia, 40 million students attended a "Hour of Code" until October 2014. I expect the number today to be significantly larger.
Being a software engineer with kids myself, I am very excited about this project.
