In teaching and learning activities of mathematics teachers can choose teaching methods and approaches in accordance with the topics being taught. The method can be demonstration, simulation, experiment, and so on. Similarly, in terms of approach may be a math teacher using inquiry, inductive, deductive and so forth. This means that the props used should not only be tailored to the purpose of teaching and material, but must also be adapted to the methods and approaches used.
The condition or condition of the class should also be the attention of the teacher when it will determine the props to be used. For demonstrations or experiments, teachers need a room that has been set up, and the state of the room should allow for it.

The use of props should be carefully implemented. Do not let the concept become more complicated as described with the help of props. The props should be used appropriately, adapted to the delivered attributes, the teaching method used and the mental stage of the child.
The use of props should be able to produce abstract generalizations or conclusions from concrete representations. That is, with the help of props that are concrete, students are expected to draw conclusions.
The props used without preparation can lead to time-consuming and minimal material being delivered. If this happens, then it can be said that the props we use or the means of using props that we do not achieve the target. The concept that becomes increasingly complicated to be understood as a result of the use of props is a mistake. If a particular topic does not require the use of props, the use of props does not have to be imposed, since, props are not necessarily used for every explanation of topics in mathematics.

In this case I use props that exist in everyday life in the form of cubes and beams. because the material that is studied is related to the cube and the beam. here I see many changes to the students by learning to use props. students are more focused and active in teaching and learning process and the learning model that I use is with group discussion model.
