I still remember clearly at that time (2016), the place I always missed, Ghadink beach, Central Aceh, where we participated in camping 100 tents throughout the archipelago. We used a pick-up car to go there, the cool air coupled with the calm natural scenery. It was so much fun.

Pipi, Cumi, Yuni, and several other Scouts DKC members were very excited to participate in this event. The cost is only 100,000 rupiah per person, which is a very affordable price for such a fun event. When we arrived there, we were warmly welcomed by the Regent of Central Aceh. At the Regent's pavilion, the Gayo banquet was super spicy, but it was delicious.

After taking photos with us, we went straight to the location. Jackets, gloves, and training pants are our mainstay in such a cold atmosphere. The atmosphere is so crowded by the lake, can't wait to hurry up to start the event.

Participants from various regions throughout the archipelago were busy setting up their respective tents. When they found a suitable place, the men started setting up tents, while we the girls carried some things from the car to the location.

That afternoon we spent time walking around enjoying the calm atmosphere of the lake. The night after the Maghrib prayer in the congregation, We were also treated to Gayo food again. The spicy was great.

After dinner, the event started with the opening of the band Bluesy by performing a song from the Chainsmokers with a closer title, really cool. After hearing some entertainment, they also serve Gayo Arabica coffee. I think it's a bit bitter. I don't know if I'm not a coffee connoisseur.

The bonfire was blazing to break the cool atmosphere in a city that was so cold. We sat around the bonfire while singing and also accompanied by coffee that was so warm. At 11.30 pm, my mouth yawned for the second time. I should go straight into the tent to rest.

Socks, jackets, and gloves are also never separated from this tiny body. My body shivered for the umpteenth time. I woke up. It was already dawn. The cold air made the body not willing to leave the pillow, considering there were still many activities to do. I didn't want to miss it, so I went straight to the bathroom and prayed the morning prayer together in the field.

At 07.00 am, We were already lined up in the field to do gymnastics guided by the committee. After that, the committee held a sack jumping competition. We cheered loud while watching the participants. After sweating, we had breakfast provided by the event committee. After that, we visited the Bak Mandale prehistoric archaeological attraction that was located around our campsite.

At 1.00 pm, We returned to the location for lunch. And while relaxing on the edge of the lake with some accompanying snacks. We have fun chatting. The call for asr also sounded. After praying together, we were ready to dismantle the tent, then go home. Takengon is indeed cool, warm greetings from a cold city.
