DEFINITION OF A COMPUTER
A computer is an electronic device, that store, retrieve and process data (input), and gives information (output).

TYPES OF COMPUTER
There are different types of computer as they perform different functions.

1. DIGITAL COMPUTER
This is the most used computer, it is used to process information with quantities using the binary number system, examples of digital computer include, calculator, digital watches etc.

2. ANALOG COMPUTER
This is the type of computer that operates with numbers represented by direct measurable quantities. examples thermometer, tyre pressure guage, analog clock etc.

3. HYBRID COMPUTER
This is the computer that performs the operations of both Analog and Digital Computers. They are used mostly used in the hospital.
