Pretty flowers of Arctic

It is not a desert in the first place.

The new species have been discovered, it seems to be a treasure trove of rare insects which live only in sand dunes. There is a possibility that unknown creatures are still inhabited.

The Carcross desert investigation does not stay in the field of biology. Many geologists have also investigated the Carcross desert. According to the Yukon Geological Survey, the Carcross desert seems to be a topography that does not see other examples that glaciers, winds, and water made over 10,000 years.

About 11,000 to 24,000 years ago, northern Canada including Yukon was covered with thick glaciers. The thickness of the glacier is 1 kilometer. Although it was approaching the earth with tremendous weight, it began melting little by little as the climate change. It took a terrain like a bulldozer, so we could have several deep valleys around the Carcross.
