Have you ever be upset that your friend tells an interesting dream that was dreamed last night, and you never remember yours? French scientists found the answer to the mystery of why some people remember the night visions, while others - not.
Dr. Perrin Ryubi by the Research Center of Neurology in Lyon managed to find the area of the brain where the "record" our dreams. For it says, "Huffington Post".
During the experiments involving 41 volunteers, the team of Dr. Ryubi used PET-scanner that registers the spontaneous brain activity of people during sleep and wakefulness.
Volunteers were classified into two groups according to the results. The first caught people with strong memories that could reproduce on average 5 of their dreams week. The second caught those with unhelpful memory - with 2 remembered dreams a month.
It turned out that volunteers with good sleep and memory showed much enhanced spontaneous activity in the center of information processing in the brain - temporal-parietal connection. This "neurological ferment" stimulated sealing of dreams in memory. This group showed two times greater reactivity to external stimuli during sleep than other participants in the tests.
According to scientists, people who have a strong spontaneous brain activity, wake up frequently at night for short intervals without realizing it. It is during these periods of wakefulness they transfer information dreams in long-term memory. These same people react more strongly to external stimuli, both during sleep and while awake - for example, sounds and lights. But it unconscious wake proved key to remembering dreams.
"The sleeping brain can not remember new information" categorically Dr. Ryubi. "He must be awake to do it."
