4 unknown secret societies
We've all heard of secret societies such as the Illuminati, Masons, Skull and Bones and the Bilderbergers, who because of his popularity no longer so secret. Around them, there are numerous conspiracy theories about rituals initiatives and their members. Some such communities are actively involved in public life and influence of the global economy in ways that the average person does not know about them. Others are made up of small elite groups, goals, and motivation are well known to the population. But what can we say about the secret societies, which are also influenced history? They even might have a greater impact on historical events than we can suppose, and probably have never heard of them.
Ekpe
Ekpene is secretly African society, named after the mysterious and invisible spirit of the jungle, who is rumored to preside over the ceremonies of society. The main objective of Ekpene is to establish order and justice in areas inhabited by its members by political and legal activities.
Most members of Ekpene wear masks while held ceremonies to hide his identity. However, when people outside this community know them, they sink into silence caused by fear. This secret society is composed entirely of men and rituals practiced mainly in Nigeria and Cameroon. Its members are two groups - primary and secondary.
Minor members pay a fee to get into the group. Primary, called "Amam" are of the highest rank and such are only those people who are willing to pay an extremely high amount to be raised from the second group to move into the higher one. These people control the public health sponsored festivals in cities and make people have the impression that spends all the money in the secret society for the welfare of the people.
Unfortunately, there is not enough information about Ekpene, as its members take an oath of silence, but is said to have started as a religious group. Ekpene is still active today.
Sect Rouge
Located in Haiti and the members of the sect are most often cannibals and robbers of graves. The author Zora Hurston wrote a novel about her indirect communication and relations with members of the sect in 1938 called "Tell my horse". In it, she describes the spiritual and cultural rituals practiced sect resembling voodoo magic, and that believe in zombies.
Members of the sect believed that zombies are the bodies of the dead, stolen from vengeful witches. Etnobiologat Wade Davis argues that this belief comes from their past when poisoned people were often diagnosed dead and later buried alive, only to come out of their coffins just before the funeral.
Haitians say they have noticed members of the sect gather in cemeteries at night, where horrific rituals performed on his victims.
Thule Society
Founded in 1918 in Germany by a veteran of the First World War. The main theme of its members is racism, and especially the origin of the Aryan race. They believed that "their" an intrepid town called Ultima Tull (somewhere near the North Pole) was the capital of the Hyperborean - a mythical country, which is said to have had a perfect land.
The members of this society were true enemies of Jews and communists, as before becoming part of the group had to prove that they are "clean" blood and have no Jewish beliefs.
Society often associated with Nazi conspiracy theories such as the construction of a Nazi flying ship, operated by "leadership race." Moreover, it is rumored that there was a period in which Hitler was a member of this secret society. They are no longer active, decaying in the 1930s mainly because of the anti-Masonic laws and pressure on the Nazis.
Leopard Society
It was founded by a group of cannibals who performed ritual sacrifices in bringing alive people. Leopard society was formed in the mid1900's. Its members are from Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Ivory Coast. They dress with leopard skins and behave like big cats, attacking their victims with weapons leopard claws and teeth. After killing their victim, they used her blood to make different potions. These people believed that if society begins to behave like them and show cannibalism will enhance the strength and power and all will become strong warriors.
Leopard society is most active during the two world wars, but after killing large numbers of people, the authorities are trying to destroy them. Local however silent and not issue any information about leopard killers fear. Eventually, one of the community members was shot by a policeman, which inspires courage of the locals to talk. Much of members of society leopard were captured or shot. Then persecution subsided, although it is rumored that the group is active at the moment and act in distant of Africa.
