Drawn towards the story...
Today was the day for a treat, and this treat ended up a lot bigger than I realized!
I bought the DVD series of "Big,Little Lies" (David E. Kelley - Producer, 2017) and all my plans for the days tasks just fell out of the window :o
From the very beginning, the story has been drawing me in. Reese Witherspoon is unstoppable in her role as Madeline Mackenzie I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, but it involves many issues that don't entice my husband, such as the politics of women, childhood bullying and domestic violence. The topic that does entice is the murder at the end - and that isn't ruining it for anyone, because this scene forms the very start of the series.
So if you are like my husband and need people shooting every few minutes, guys with big egos or lots of sci-fi; this may not be the best DVD for you. Still, if you are like me and love watching the dynamics of men and women, intrigue and issues such as domestic violence and rape, then you can't go past this series. I could not recommend it more highly!! It is a classic 'chick-flick' style series with a lot in it for a guy to love.
