Adventure at your doorstep

There is a dead end by my house...

And at the end of this street there is a small bridge crossing a large drainage ditch. It appears mostly abandoned as the path on the other side is overgrown and almost completely hidden from view. Today I decided to hack my way through the brush to see where it leads and I was quite surprised.

Less than 100 meters through the brush and forest is this beautiful service road. I had not discovered it earlier because the area is blocked with fencing further down.

Of course I decided to follow to road uphill and to my delight I was the only person around. The road leads to a cell tower at the top of a hill near my home.
