Why I joined Steemit
I see a lot of people talk about wanting to "make it big on Steemit" and I guess that means drawing in hundreds or thousands of dollars on each post. I'm new here and trying to figure this world out. I still don't understand Steem, Steem Dollars, Power Up, Cypto Currencies 🤔 For me it's about knowledge 🤓
I guess I joined because I hate the sound of my voice on video and due to a car wreck 2 years ago I have a hard time with remembering how to pronounce words so I stutter and get confused and then aggravation sets in and I have a level 7 meltdown!
I enjoy writing, even though I'm not good at it, and sharing information I have learned with others. For me it's not about money because that can be lost, stolen! Knowledge - that is powerful! That is something that can stay with you and no one can steal it, take it from you, and you can't lose it! (Unless, you're in a car wreck and suffer head trauma, like me, and have to relearn things- but you get what I'm saying)
I love taking pictures and sharing it with y'all! I enjoying reading and seeing everyone's post on here. Making what little money I do is just a nice bonus 🤗
This is why I am working to help Steemit succeed. There are so many people that have so much to offer, but not one form of communication is ideal for all. Steemit allows for the medium of choice.

Not only are you allowed to say what ever you want here, unlike fb and Twitter, but the community seems much more civilized.

Steemit is sooooo much more than yt or fb could ever be and agree I am not in it for the money (passing it on to help folks would be a nice kick back to it)... Sharing to get it seen!

Of course, they do censor certain things here, if you aren't a whale.
I've not heard people talk about making it big but I have seen the odd posts with upvotes well over $50.00 mark :) I did hear that just by making a good comment/reply one could not only help or encourage cheer on and what not one might get lucky to get a few upvotes for that as well as posting articles or sharing video content something I'll do soon as my computer is fixed. Hope your injuries are still healing and eventually stop having any kind of melt downs those can't be fun at all :( thanks for sharing
