Plum Green Tea Clear Face Mask – Review

To have your skin revitalize itself and keep itself young, fresh and clear, it’s quite important to use a face mask once fortnightly. Plum’s green tea clear face mask is quite a popular product in this segment and this is my review of the face mask.

Plum is a brand well known for its paraben-free natural skincare products and I have used quite a few of their products. Plum describes this face mask as an oil-control mask and this is what their description for the product reads : “Acne-prone skin needs multi-dimensional care – to cleanse, care, control acne, prevent recurrence, and to do all of this gently – phew! No mean mask, this. Get instantly brighter, healthier-looking skin with this soft, creamy formula that applies nicely and is also easy to wash off, without drying your face. Gentle exfoliation by glycolic acid removes dead cells and impurities, while the antioxidant benefit of organic green tea extracts helps control acne (pimples) over the long run. A must-have product for oily and combination skin types.”

Ingredients :

This is a Kaolin & Bentonite based clay mask which absorbs excess oil and exfoliates the skin leaving it cleansed and with fresh life blown into it. Glycolic Acid is another important ingredient present in the mask which effectively removes dead skin without turning your skin dry. Concentrated source of polyphenols and other antioxidants present in the green tea extract help prevent acne.

The face mask comes in a heavy glass jar which has a white plastic cover inside the lid to prevent any spillage. The consistency of the mask though looks as very thick paste, is quite creamy and smooth, spreading effectively over your skin as you apply it. Once you apply a thin layer all over your face, wait until it dries completely for about 30 minutes. After you wash it off with water, do use a moisturizer as a follow up. The mask does not leave your skin dry after usage as you might expect which is a positive aspect of this product. This mask would work best for Normal, combination and Oily skin and for people with acne problems who are looking for an effective solution however people with dry or extremely sensitive skin should not use this mask.
