The Science Behind Your Personality
Is the Myers-Brigg, a well-known personality test, complete bullshit? Some think so. But for years, researchers have also been vigorously studying the scientific basis of what constitutes a personality. UC Berkeley has developed a series of tests designed to measure various facets of your personality. You answer a few questions and get a score. Some of these may be obvious but others were eye-openers. Ever wonder if you were a sociopath? Take the The Dark Side of Personality exam. Bored? Find out which Harry Potter House you belong to with the Find Your Hogwarts House exam.
I personally endorse MB as an very insightful tool. Another (slightly pricier) one is Strength Finders, which shows you your top 5 strengths. Organizations use it to better understand group dynamics.

When I got my results it was like explaining my entire life, even traits that were good and bad. I try not to use it as a label but a starting point for self improvement. I think bullshit is relative. If finding your type helps you, then great. Some people can't find their type accurately because of other influences of say their answers depend on how they feel in the moment. When I took the test I took it objectively and was happy to find truth from the result.
I LOVE the myers-briggs personality test, I tell everyone that it's like astrology but actually grounded in science.
I don't take it too seriously and let it decide how I live my life but as an INTP (lol) I do like to find out what all my friends, family, and potential love interests are so I can get an idea of how to interact with them in a way that'll elicit a positive interaction for both of us.
