Recognizing Aceh Traditional Farming Tools

Aceh is one of Indonesia region which located at the end of Sumatera Island. One of Acehnese livehoods is farming. In addition, some of Acehnese farmers still operate old traditional farming tools since at some point they cannot afford the modern farming tool because the cost is quite expensive. In this short essay I would introduce some Acehnese traditional farming tools that is still used in some Aceh region. There are many traditional farming tools in Aceh, but in this writing I would explain only four main traditional farming tools.
- Langa or Langai
The first one is called Langa or in some other word Acehnese produce it as Langai is a traditional farming tool used to plowing the rice paddies in order to make the ground soft so that it enables farmer more easier to plant paddies. Moreover, Langa is is operated by buffalo or cow. To make it clear you can see the pic below.

- Chreueh
The second one is known as Chreueh. The kind of tools is used after buffalo or cow plowing the ground by Langa or Langai. In this way, farmer utilize Chreueh in order to flattened and soften the grounds in order the paddy sow by farmer will be flat to the ground.

- Sadeup
The third one is named as Sadeup. Sadeup is one of Acehnese traditional farming tools used by famers to cut the paddy when the paddy is ready to harvest.

- Jeungki
The last one is Jeungki. This traditional farming tool is operated in order to process the paddy harvested. In this case, the tool will grind the paddy to be rice.
