"Matee aneuk meupat jeurat, matee adat pat tamita"

“Hukom ngon adat, lagee zat ngon sipheuet”

Melamar Dara Baro (Apply for a bride Candidate )

If the application is accepted by the women then the next procession is the family of the male party will come back to the woman's parents to talk about the day of marriage or so-called peukeong haba as well as set how big the dowries desired by the prospective bride or commonly called jeunamee (Dowry)

Marriage (Akad nikah)


The marriage is an event where men marry women who have been proposed. This is where the marriage contract happens. The groom and the entourage came with a souvenir (bungoeng jaroe) and then married to be witnessed by people in front of a wedding qadli, usually married in the office of religious affairs or in the mosque, some are doing at the house of female buyers both long before the reception day and on the same day as the wedding reception.
