As per study published in the JAMA Pediatrics, a spit(saliva) test might someday be able to diagnose a moderate brain injury which is also know as concussion and also fore-show how long symptoms last.

A concussion is an injury to the brain, often resulting from a blow to the head, that can cause temporary disorientation, unconsciousness, or memory loss.

Dr. Steve Hicks who is a senior author of the study and an assistant professor said that at least five micro-RNAs in saliva of a kid could predict, with an accuracy of 85%, that affected children would have symptoms one month later.
