fragrant cempaka flowers fragrant from Aceh

Flower cempaka perfume (Michelia campacha) or often called bungong jeumpa is a native plant of Aceh. Inspired by this flower, an Acehnese artist created the song entitled Bungong Jeumpa. This song tells the beauty of cempaka fragrant flowers.

Cempaka name comes from Sanskrit. This plant belongs to an ancient plant. Because the fossils of this plant can be traced back to 95 years ago. Cempaka fragrance does not grow in all regions. This plant can grow in the tropics and subtropics, namely in South Asia, Southeast Asia, and South China.
In Indonesia, this plant grows on the island of Sumatra. Precisely in Aceh, cempaka perfume is usually found and planted in the yard of homes, in the temple yard, and in the public cemetery.
Flower Jeumpa or Cempaka Kuning which has a latin name Mechelia Champaka is a wealth of rencong ground flora and mascot for Nangroe Aceh Darussalam, so special that an Acehnese artist made a song titled Bungong Jeumpa to better represent the beauty of this unique flower shape of Aceh this one . Jeumpa flowers grow tall with a size of 3-6 meters, bright yellow flowers, some are cream or white. The size of the flowers is rather large, the strands of the petals are arranged into strands rather, the fruit of this flower is brownish and often used as ingredients to make perfume, you will often find this type of flower on the edge of the forest.
