APPRECIATION: The Key
Good morning all,
Few days ago was a great day for me personally because it happened to be my birthday; well, I have been in this world for quite some time now, and I would like us to look at one thing that's capable of lifting us up or eventually bringing us down. It's the word: APPRECIATION!
Appreciation is one small word with a big meaning! ~ProfLee
Appreciation can catapult you from the level you are in to a greater level. Let me quickly share my experience of the wonderful effects of appreciation in a person's life.
My Personal Experience of the Effects of Appreciation
But, before then, let's look at the meaning of the word, appreciation:
I am going to define appreciation in a rather simple way so that a six year old child could easily catch the meaning of the word: Appreciation means a show of thankfulness! Really, appreciation is a show of thankfulness. So, to show appreciation is to show thankfulness!
My Personal Experience...
As you may know, I am a teacher. I teach for a living. One thing in teaching is: you earn more from private lessons than from the school you teach. But, sometimes you may not have private classes. So, what I do to ensure I always have private classes is simply this: I appreciate anyone who provides a private class for me no matter how small. One time, I got a private class worth 17,000 and as soon as I got my first pay, I sent 3,000 to the two ladies who referred me. Guess what? The next time they had opportunity to offer a teacher a private class, guess who they offered? Me. Why? Because I understand the value of appreciation.
Appreciation is like a very powerful force. It can force or move anyone to anyone to act on your behalf. ~ProfLee
I have long decided to always show appreciation to whoever is due. Also, August 5th was my birthday. And, I tried to show appreciation to certain persons who have been of great benefit to me personally.
I wouldn't want a post that's too lengthy, so, I could as well drop my pen here.
