The Situation | A Short Story

Once a daughter complains to her father that her life is very painful, she does not know where her life is going and how she will decide her life ahead. She was tired of all the time struggles and fighting. Sometimes it seems as if one problem has not been solved, that the other is standing outstretched. His father was a cook. He took her to kitchen. The girl's father took three utensils and filled them with water and put them on high heat.

When the water in the three pots started boiling, he put some potatoes in the first vessel, some eggs in the second vessel and coffee seeds in the third vessel and sat comfortably without uttering a word to his daughter, leaving them to boil. The daughter is amazed at what Dad is doing all this and waits impatiently. 20 minutes later his father turns off the burner. He took the potatoes out of the pot and put them in a bowl. He took the eggs out of the pot and put them in another bowl. And then He put the coffee in a cup after serving.

Then he asked his daughter, "Daughter, what do you see?"
"Potatoes, eggs and coffee ..!", She replies quickly.

"Look carefully", he said. "And look at the potatoes," the girl does exactly that and notices that they are soft.

Then he asked her to take an egg and ask her to break it. When the girl breaks the egg and removes her outer shell, she finds a hard-boiled egg inside. Finally, his father asks him to take a cup of coffee. The sweet aroma of coffee brings a smile to his face.

"Dad, what does all this mean?" she asks. He then explained to her that potatoes, eggs and coffee seeds faced the same type of trouble (boiled water). Nevertheless, each exhibited different behavior. Potatoes were strong, hard and tough, but when they went into boiling water they became soft and weak. The eggs were fragile and had a thin layer of peel on the outside to provide protection to the material inside them. But when they were put in boiling water, then their internal part i.e. the material became hard. Unlike all this, the seeds of coffee were unique. When they were put into boiling water, they changed the water itself and created a new one.

"Who are you among them?", He asks his daughter. "How will you react when trouble comes to your door?" What would you like to be made from a potato, an egg or a coffee seed ?? "

In life, a lot of events happen around us and with us, but the only thing that really matters is what kind of feedback we like to make and what we conclude from them. Life is all about changing and accepting all kinds of conflicts in a positive way. Whenever you face an challenging situation in life always give your 100 percent then only you can become successful.
