Shepherd's pie with chicken, spinach and cheese

Traditionally, it is made from lamb or beef. But with chicken, the dish turns out to be no less appetizing, and mashed potatoes with the addition of cheese become even tastier.

Ingredients


  • Potato 400 g
  • Butter 6 tbsp. spoons
  • Salt taste
  • Ground black pepper taste
  • Cheese 100-150 g
  • Chicken yolk 1 piece
  • Onion 1-2 pieces
  • Fillet of chicken breasts or thighs 350-400 g
  • Flour 2 tbsp. the spoon
  • Tomatoes 3 pieces
  • Chicken bouillon 250 ml
  • Frozen spinach 250 g

Preparation



one. Peel the potatoes, cut into slices and boil until soft in 10-15 minutes. Empty the saucepan.

2 ․ Stir hard the potatoes. Mix it first with one or two tablespoons of butter, salt, pepper and coarsely grated cheese, and then with the yolk.

3 ․ In a skillet, heat two tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté for 3-5 minutes until tender.

  1. Add chopped chicken and simmer for 5-7 minutes. Sprinkle with flour and cook for another 1 minute, stirring constantly.

  2. Peel and chop the tomatoes. Add to the same skillet along with the broth. Simmer for 7-10 minutes, stirring frequently.

To easily peel tomatoes, pour boiling water over them for 15–20 seconds, and then transfer them to cold water.

6 ․ Thaw the spinach and squeeze it lightly to remove excess moisture.

7 ․ Add the herbs to the skillet, season with salt and pepper and cook for 2-3 minutes more.

  1. Transfer the mixture from the skillet to a baking dish. Spread the mashed potatoes evenly over the top.

nine. Bake for about 20-30 minutes at 180-190 ° C.
