Is Being A Christian Difficult?
Being a Christian can be incredibly difficult. Our decision to follow Jesus may have been a perfectly natural part of growing up or it may have been a time of deep soul searching and difficulties. Either way, our life has to be a
constant returning to God.
As a potter moulds clay in his hands, pushing and directing or even recreating from the start again; so our lives have to be changed by the hand of God.
Our privilege of duty is to maintain love and justice but love can be pushed back into our faces and justice is not always wanted. But who will love if we do not love and where can justice be seen without the mercy which God offers?
Then we are directed to wait for our God. We cry, 'O God how long must we wait?'.
This happened to the prophets of old and now is our concern. We want immediate answers to our prayers and sometimes it seems as if God has closed His ears. Sometimes it is possible to feel that we have been pushed into a corner; that a burden has been placed on our shoulders.
There is a responsibility which perhaps we wished we did not need to have. For some, this pressure comes to breaking point and they decide they cannot continue with this responsibility.
Our God does not want to become a burden but He does want us to be His representatives.
But what can we do if our Christianity becomes too heavy a burden?
First of all we must go back to the cross and remind ourselves of the love Jesus showed there. We should spend time in prayer and talking to our God about our feelings.
Then if we can we should seek the counsel of loving brethren who are on the journey with us. Then hopefully we shall return to our God, maintain love and justice and wait a little longer for our God.
Just as you said, a clay that is being molded by a potter will not have problem if it is malleable. If we are malleable to God as Christians, he will be able to mold us effectively. Nice illustration.

If we allow God to mold us properly our lives as christians will be so much easier.
I don't totally agree with you, a Christian with goals could make his/her life easier. It could be done by avoiding distractions. Though, people out there may be living an immoral lifestyle this should not be a problem for christians.
I think I agree with apostle @jaff8. There are many Christians out there who are actually leading a peaceful, easy and successful life. I think if you focus solely on God and do not look at the distractions of the world, you would have a better connection with him and this in turn means a life full of peace and joy. Christians are supposed to be the rulers of this world but many of them still have their eyes on the things if yhe world. They forget that "we are in the world but not of the world.".
Being a christian isn't a difficult task if you set your goals and priorities towards serving the Lord devotedly.
Our final destination Is what matters
