Sunlight

Sunlight is an electromagnetic light radiated by the sun,the time taken for the light to travel from the surface of the sun to earth's atmosphere is 498 seconds.

Sunlight is a primary source of cholecalciferol(Vitamin D3), a vitamin made in the skin upon exposure to ultraviolet ray from the sun,cholecalciferol is utilised by the liver and kidney to increase calcium intake which strengthens the bone,hence preventing bone disorders.

Sunlight acts as a catalyst for energy conversion,it enables autotrophic plants to convert light energy to chemical energy in a process called photosynthesis with the aid of chlorophyll.

Sunlights are also utilised as renewable energy source, solar panels are boards which can convert light energy from the sun into electrical energy. Modern electrical cars are integrating solar panels into the roof of cars to absorb solar energy and store power.
