Why are we here?
Questions have invaded my mind without ceasing. Without giving me even a hundredth of a second to rest from such overwhelming theories that were formulated in my mind, I wonder then; Why are we here?
A couple of days ago, being in relatively solitary areas, wandering from one place to another, I took these photographs.
They will ask, then, what does this have to do with everything I want to convey?
By looking briefly at these photographs I could not help thinking about what is beyond what our eyes can see, beyond even what technology can.
Extraterrestrial worlds, as much or more advanced in knowledge before us, it is then that I imagine what they saw the Mayan civilization in prehistory, knowing that these were guided by the stars, in which, inhabited the gods to which they praised, creators of heaven and the earth, of every living being that inhabits in it.
In the same way, the Romans, Greeks; polytheistic religions in themselves, those which praised more than one God.
Not to mention, Cystianism, Judaism and Islam, whose belief went to one Almighty God.
Then, my rambling questions were; How did it all come about, and if there is a concrete answer to it, for what reason do we exist? Why should those or that God create us?
- No one knows what he was born for, with what purpose. Is it really logical that humanity has prevailed over what seems to be more than two millennia without any apparent purpose, only because of the biology and resources that exist on our planet? They say that during life, in the course of it "we will know" what we are here for.
However, I differ from this because, in my opinion, what we believe about the reason for our existence is based on previous, lived experiences; as many good as bad. So while there is something or someone in which we feel happy, comfortable, making us think "this is where I belong".
A perfect example of this would be the individual who "finds" his place in the world, his motive for living and this is to travel, travel the world and explore. But really, what consequence would this bring to a specific objective? Would exploring in the end contribute to that greater objective? Everyone believes to find their reason for existence based on their own life, experiences, relationships and others. Making them forget or stop thinking about the real reason for our stay here, and not only personally but globally.
maybe one day that question will be answered . Taking into account the history I feel it will not be answered in my lifetime . Such big questions :). But then again if you don't ask you will never know the answer .
Maybe the humanity aren't destinate to know that.
