Hatirjheel is an area of Bangladesh's capital Dhaka that has been built for public transport. The main objective of this project is to save the rain water, waterlogging and flood prevention, development of dirty water extraction system, reduce traffic congestion and increase the beauty of the city. Hatirjheel unveils a new horizon in Dhaka in terms of environment and aesthetics. East-West road has been built on both sides of the walk along the construction of the walkway around the springs. Beautiful bridges, eye-catching fountains, beautiful white stairs have been constructed to move from the lakes to the other side. There are advantages of navigating sailing boat. Where in a few years ago, Hatirjheel was a hot water reservoir. But now it is holding fresh water. Water is supplied through Hatiphele pumps. There are arrangements for dirty water drainage here. Here there are trees and flowers on the side of the street. Besides, the cultural center of entertainment, Shishu Park, World-class Theater Body Studies Center has been set up here. Mosque is here to make tourists' prayers. After the evening, Hatirjheel dressed up in a variety of illumination colors.

In the continuation of the British King, pet elephants of Bhawal kings were kept in Peelkhana. At that time, the Elephant Road Elephant area was used to go to Bathurighli for bathing. Because of the introduction of elephants, elephants have been associated with the name of the area. And because of the bathing of elephants, the name is Hatirjheel. From the pages of history, it is known from the Pilkhana that the elephants used to go to Peelkhana from Begunbari area were later associated with those areas.
