Have you ever enjoyed a young coconut? But this time, I want to review about coconut shell that is processed into a snack or salad. Yes, coconut shell salad or in Aceh language is called "Lincah U Groh".
Last Tuesday my family and I went to the village to Pidie. After returning to Banda Aceh, we stopped at Lincah U Groh Shop located on Banda Aceh - Medan route, exactly 23.5 kilometers Indrapuri, Aceh Besar District.
The location is on the roadside. We stopped by for a while and enjoyed a "Lincah U Groh" while enjoying the soothing rice fields.
Here's how to make a "Lincah U Groh"; Young coconut shells were scratched and washed, then mixed with spice salad and lemon juice that was watered. It feels a bit spicy, but it depends on our taste.
Lincah U Groh's shop named "Aneuk Garuda". Shop owner Lincah U Groh, Suwardi, claimed to have sold salad since 2007. At first, he just wanted to try to consume coconut shell with lemon juice and cayenne mix.
Apparently, it tastes quite fresh. He also makes this young coconut shell as a mainstay dish salad in the store.
The price is very fitting with the contents of the wallet, only 1.5 dollars for one bowl. So many fans of "Lincah U Groh" in the holiday season visit here. No wonder if Suwardi can spend a thousand young coconut seeds in a day.
Not only eat in that place, also many visitors who make "Lincah U Groh" as a snack on the trip. In addition to "Lincah U Groh", Suwardi also provides fruit juice and young coconut water. Very enjoyable!
