NAB

The National Accountability Office is an independent, constitutionally established federal entity tasked with strengthening anti-corruption efforts and preparing critical state economic intelligence assessments of economic terrorism for the Government of Pakistan. Chaired by Hakim (right) Javaid Iqbal.

• In addition to carrying out operations against corruption or economic terrorism, NAB has the power and authority to take necessary precautions. Since it was founded by Pervaiz Musharraf on November 16, 1999, it has continued to grow and develop.

Pakistan's constitution grants the authority to initiate investigations, investigate and issue arrest warrants against persons suspected of economic terrorism, financial mismanagement, corruption in the state, private, corporate and defense sectors.
