Mosquito eggs are often placed on a calm surface or attached to the bottom of a floating leaf. Mother mosquitoes use some kind of receptor that is on the bottom of the stomach to determine where to spawn.

Mosquito eggs have a length of less than 1 mm, mosquitoes put their eggs close together and the number can reach hundreds. After that the eggs will experience an incubation period or incubation. After the incubation period is over, the mosquito larvae will come out of the egg almost simultaneously.
